Kerry Project Logistics opens French project division

Kerry Project Logistics has opened a project division stationed in Nantes, France. The move comes following the recent acquisition of a majority stake in Business By Air (BBA), a French international freight forwarding company. 

The Nantes office will serve the industry verticals of Infrastructure and Construction, Power and Renewables, Oil and Gas, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, and Mining. Other offices of BBA Kerry Logistics France located in Paris, Le Havre, Nice, and Calais will provide support to the newly established Nantes outfit.

Georges Grasset-Gothon will be leading the Kerry Project Logistics Group activities in France, with support from Sylvain Desgré as Deputy General Manager. Grasset-Gothon brings 26 years of experience in managing complex marine and logistics solutions, while Desgré brings 22 years of freight forwarding and project logistics activities. Both will support the company in the development of this new business unit.

“Georges’ expertise especially in putting together complex sea and land logistics solutions, combined to Sylvain’s experience in managing demanding project and re-supply contracts shall bring our company a valuable contribution for achieving the ambitious targets we have planned in our strategic development plan, particularly in Europe where we already have a presence in Italy, or in the UK, in Spain, or in Turkey, where we have had for some time now dedicated Projects specialists,” said Bruce Boudailler, Global Sales Director of Kerry Project Logistics.
