Jumbo Offshore, a Jumbo Maritime company and part of the Jumbo-SAL-Alliance, has completed its campaign at the Yunlin offshore wind farm in Taiwan. The campaign has commenced in 2020.

During the course of the project, Jumbo Offshore transported and installed 44 transition pieces (TPs) for its client Yunneng. The job was carried out by Jumbo Javelin and its crew.

The Yunlin offshore wind project has been developed by Yunneng Wind Power. The project is located at water depths from seven to 35 metres. Spanning 82 square kilometres, the project will comprise 80 wind turbine generators (WTG) with a total capacity of 640 MW rated power.

When the company completed the transportation part of the job in 2021, it dubbed the Yunlin project as the largest in its history. For the transportation part, Jumbo mobilised ships from its own heavy lift vessel fleet, together with subcontracted deck carriers and HLVs from third parties, to transport the 40 monopiles, 120 monopile sections and 40 transition pieces (TPs) from yards in the Netherlands and Germany to Taiwan.
