Chipolbrok and Crane Worldwide create new door-to-door heavy-lift service
Crane Worldwide Logistics in Japan and Chipolbrok are joining forces to create a door-to-door heavy-lift service for clients shipping cargo between Europe, the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Middle East, Asia and the Americas.
The new liner service from Japan to North America increases options for international transportation between these major economies, with Crane Worldwide acting as a general agent. The companies believe that Crane Worldwide’s expertise in customs brokerage, trade advisory services and logistics, offers great synergies with Chipolbrok shipping services to offer door-to-door solutions for clients in the heavy-lift market.
Due to the large size of Chipolbrok’s vessel decks and lifting capacities of up 700 tonnes, the partnership will provide great benefit to the energy and renewable energy sector as well as industrial and manufacturing, the new partners state.
“We have exciting growth plans in Japan and with our head office located in Houston, I see many opportunities for our clients in this strategic partnership”, comments Richard Stinchcombe, Managing Director at Crane Worldwide Logistics Japan who is based in Tokyo. “Wind projects, for example, are a key focus, both onshore and the highly anticipated and newly developing offshore wind focus in Japan and we can now support this development”, he adds.
Chipolbrok has announced fleet expansion plans and by the end of 2021, the fleet will operate twenty-three ships including four 64,000 deadweight newbuild multipurpose vessels.
“We believe our cooperation with Crane Worldwide will not only improve our outbound service in Asia, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea and the Americas but also see great opportunity in the inbound segment of bulk business”, comment Roman Wozniak and Zhou Jinglai, both Shipping Directors at Chipolbrok.
Crane Worldwide Logistics continues to expand in Asia despite the recent market conditions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s value proposition focuses on Technology, Service and People. Client partnership and flexible supply chain solutions are a key area of focus.
