Manora Logistics busy with offshore wind projects
The Antwerp-based logistics company, Manora Logistics has been busy handling the deliveries of project cargo for the wind industry. The company has recently handled the project cargo delivery for the Courseulles-Sur-Mer offshore wind farm as well as project cargo for a project in the United States.
For the Courseulles-Sur-Mer offshore wind farm project being developed jointly by EDF Renewables and Enbridge, near Calvados, France. The project will consist of 64 wind turbines with a total capacity of 450 MW.
Manora Logistics handled the transport of piles for the project from Sevilla to Vlissingen. The scope of work included grillage, seafastening, transport and offloading in Vlissingen of four units, each weighing 179 tons.
The company also handled the transport of 3 monopile sections from Germany to the United States onboard a BBC Chartering vessel. Each section has a length between 20 and 27 meters, a diameter of 8,1 meters and weighs between 292 and 322 ton.
Manora was in charge of design of grillage and sea fastening, and transport to the USA. Vessel meantime safely underway to discharge port.
