A crew member of the Chipolbrok vessel Paderewski has passed away following a fatal accident during heavy-lift cargo operations in the port of Baltimore, reports surveyor Blueoceana Company.

“We’re told that the as-yet-unidentified worker was on deck, assisting in the movement of a pontoon adjacent to the lift when he was crushed between the pontoon and the vessel’s structure”, Blueoceana writes in a bulletin.

The accident happened on December 20th. The vessel had arrived in the port on December 19th, coming from New Orleans.
