M-Star ships heavy modules to the Netherlands

M-Star Projects recently handled another shipment as part of the Perenco Southern Hub Area Rationalisation Project (SHARP). This time, three types of oversized gas modules had to delivered from the supplier in Jebel Ali to the site in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

The gas modules weighed 165.5, 236 and 260 tonnes with the largest measuring 17.7 x 11 x 18 metres. M-Star’s scope of services for the contract that transport, full documentation, removal of road obstacles, pre-surveys, cargo inspections and rigging and sea fastening plans.

The company transported the modules from the manufacturer to the port of Jebel Ali using two 12-axle SPMT’s.  The freight forwarder then managed port handlings in the departure and arrival port and transported the cargoes to the delivery site using SPMT’s again. The cargo was shipped by Jumbo.
