Rhenus deploys Jumbo Kinetic for three large units delivery to Houston

Jumbo Kinetic, one of the K-Class vessels within the Jumbo-SAL-Alliance fleet, arrived in Houston, Texas to discharge project cargo for Rhenus Project Logistics. The vessel capable of lifting 3,000 tons with its two cranes had cargo from three different suppliers onboard.

These pieces were part of a larger shipment arriving in Houston and Jumbo-SAL-Alliance had the flexibility to provide the right ship in the right place at the right time.

The team offloaded three large units including a unit measuring about 30 x 5 x 4 metres which was the heaviest item weighing over 550 tonnes. For this unit, the team engineered the stowage plan, rigging plan as well as the sea fastening plan all in accordance with Rhenus Project Logistics’ requirements.

The vessel has since departed Houston, passed the Panama Canal and is currently sailing in the North Pacific ocean heading towards the Port of Masan in South Korea.
