Tschudi Logistics Group has recently completed the discharge of project cargo for the Temane energy project in Mozambique. Tschudi’s team in Mozambique served as chartering broker for the Tide Navigator between the owner ForestWave and charterers COLI Schiffahrt & Transport in Hamburg.

Tschudi said it discharged a total of 4,707 popes for PM Piping at the Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC). The pipes, with a cumulative length of 74 kilometres are destined for the Temane project’s Sasol base. Tschudi Logistics handled both agency and coordination of discharging in Maputo port.

The Globeleq-led Central Térmica de Temane (CTT) 450 MW is gas-fired power project, located at Temane in Inhambane Province in Mozambique. The project broke ground in March 2022. CTT will supply low cost, reliable power to Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) under a 25-year tolling agreement using natural gas supplied from the Pande-Temane Fields operated by Sasol and ENH, the state-owned hydrocarbon company. CTT is expected to provide electricity to meet the demand of 1.5 million households and will contribute about 14 percent of the electricity supply capacity available to meet demand in Mozambique.

CTT is 85 percent owned by Mozambique Power Invest (MPI) and 15 percent by Sasol Africa. MPI is owned by Globeleq (76 percent) and EDM (24 percent).
