CargoCrew International ships 52 ton engine to China

The Hamburg-based company, CargoCrew International, handled a shipment of a 52-ton ship engine from Germany to China.

The engine was manufactured by MAN Energy Solutions, a company based in Augsburg, Bayern. The 52-ton piece of machinery measures 6.40 metres in length, 2.75 metres in width, and 4.25 metres in height. Several containers with additional cargo were also shipped.

CargoCrew International transported the engine by out-of-gauge (OOG) Truck from their client’s factory in Bavaria, Germany, to Rotterdam. It was then shipped out of the Port of Rotterdam as breakbulk cargo by a container carrier. Upon arrival in China, the engine will be used in a shipbuilding project in a Chinese shipyard.
