The Jumbo-SAL-Alliance recently loaded three Tukan cranes onto the general cargo vessel in Bremen, Germany, for discharge in the port of Haifa, Israel.

The six cranes were each disassembled into two parts, and weighed around 330 metric tonnes each, for a total of 1,488 tonnes, including counterweights. In total, the cargo took up 30.256,23 cubic metres. These cranes will enhance the port of Haifa’s operations, providing improved lifting operations and port efficiency.

The cranes were shipped aboard the general cargo vessel Lisa, which was built in 2001 and sails under the flag of Cyprus. Measuring 89.75 metres in length and 13.6 metres in width, the vessel has a gross tonnage of 4,850 tonnes. Upon arrival in the Port of Haifa, the cranes were unloaded off the ship and onto the pier, and put to use almost immediately.
