Bolloré Logistics has been behind the transport of a Lifeboat Launching Cradle and related accessories for a floating production unit (FPU).

The complexity of the project resulted from the oversized side of a cradle 10.4 meters high. In this context, land transport was not an option. Bolloré Logistics then proposed a transport solution by barge from the factory to the shipyard via the bonded logistics park.

Throughout the execution of this operation, the Bolloré Logistics Central China team worked alongside the Malaysian team to oversee the transport route, provide technical solutions, and conduct on-site feasibility studies. They also coordinated with the factory and the shipyards, arranged the loading and unloading of the barge along the river port, and completed the export/import declarations to and from the bonded logistics park.

Kevin XI, Energy & Projects Manager at Bolloré Logistics in Central China said, “We would like to thank the Malaysia team for contributing their efforts and expertise that made this project so successful. Thanks to the teamwork and technical knowledge of both teams, the transportation of the lifeboat launching cradle and related accessories was carried out successfully!”

This project highlighted the experience and supply chain expertise of Bolloré Logistics in the Energy & Projects sector. The company has an extensive network of subject matter experts, enabling it to offer customised solutions to support its customers’ operations worldwide.
