The first of four vessels Blue Master class employed on the MACS Maritime Carrier Shipping service, multipurpose vessel Bright Sky is back in action. The vessel has completed its dry dock in Bremerhaven and has set off to Southern Africa.

The vessel, built in 2013, is now equipped to continue its fortnightly liner service. It has already completed its journey to Southern Africa and its AIS data currently shows it is docked at the Walvis Bay Port in Namibia.

MACS said its superintendent team has worked diligently to ensure that all the necessary maintenance, repairs and inspections have been carried out at the highest standards. Over and above that, the vessel’s class renewal took place, and a new ballast water treatment system has been implemented to cope with the latest standards and requirements.

All four vessels on its MACS service, Bright Sky, Green Mountain, Golden Karoo and Blue Master II are scheduled for dry dock in 2023, with Green Mountain being next in line and already in dry dock.
