Fracht concludes another delivery for a power project

The wave of power projects around Europe has been a welcome sight for many project logistics companies. Fracht has been one of the companies quite busy moving project cargo for the energy industry that has been undergoing a massive transformation across the whole of Europe. 

Recently the company’s Polish unit, Fracht FWO Polska organised the delivery of a boiler for the start-up boiler plant under construction at the Lower Oder Power Plant. (Elektrownia Dolna Odra). The 80-ton boiler, measuring 11.4 x 4.7 x 5.0 metres was loaded onto a barge in the Netherlands from where, after 12 days of sailing, it arrived directly to the canal belonging to the power plant located on the Oder River.

Fracht FWO was also responsible for transhipment from the barge and delivery to the unloading site. The company used a 750-ton mobile crane for handling operations at the site. Road transport around the power plant site was carried out using a kit with a hydraulic trailer. The company completed the unloading at the storage yard using power hydraulics.

According to the company, it is only one of many projects across the Polish energy industry it is involved in. Fracht FWO Polska is involved in key investments related to the modernisation and development of the energy industry in Poland.
