DAKO delivers marine engines to Pascagoula
DAKO Worldwide Transport has recently been tasked with moving marine engines from Europe to the United States.
The company said it has been contracted by one of its long-standing clients to deliver a total of six marine engines and accessories from the Port of Emden in Germany, to Pascagoula, the United States. According to DAKO, four of the six engines weighed 156 tons each with two units weighing 96 tons each.
DAKO’s scope of work included the transfer of the engines from the inside storage area to the pier of the Nortdkai terminal, using SPMTs. The freight forwarder was tasked with chartering a multipurpose vessel, BBC Louise for the job. The vessel has already made it across the pond, where DAKO surveyed the unloading operation at a shipyard in Pascagoula.
