Trans.eu launches new private freight exchange for forwarders

The Trans.eu logistics platform has developed a brand new haulage freight exchange, named Private Freight Exchange. This secure platform enables freight forwarders to manage their freight business and communicate with hauliers and transport service providers more privately and efficiently.

The platform and its Loads2Go mobile app was developed in direct response to customer demand for increased security, digitalization, and wanting to conduct freight offer processes in a non-public arena. It is meant to solve issues such as collaborating with unknown contractors and slow email or telephone based communication.

Hauliers are more willing to do business with a forwarder they are already familiar with. The platform helps onboard hauliers, and suggest transport companies that operate on the requested routes and meet security criteria. A client’s Private Freight Exchange database can be expanded to include a variety of trusted hauliers.

Additionally, parameters for mostly automated freight assignments can be stored in the platform. It also allows market price comparison and can interface with existing transport management systems. This eradicates the need for manual data inputting. Lastly, Trans.eu has also developed the Corporate Freight Exchange for large forwarders. It facilitates the management of freight allocation, and of service providers across a company’s network.
