New deal expands Roll Group wide deck carrier fleet

Heavy transportation company Roll Group will manage two vessels owned by KMC Line under the memorandum of understanding for commercial cooperation. Roll Group noted that the commercial management of the two wide deck carriers will start from the fourth quarter of 2025. 

The two additional vessels will provide Roll Group with the opportunity to serve its clients better in the expanding project market. With the addition of KMC Line’s wide deck carriers, Roll Group has, besides its five dock vessels, a commercial control of five wide deck carriers. Total fleet from 2025 onwards is 10 vessels with the aim to further increase to offer integrated transport solutions for our rapidly growing client base.

“As we see a growing demand of wide deck carriers, we are fortunate to sign MOU for commercial cooperation with KMC Line” Peter Rondhuis CEO Roll Group comments. “We are confident that this MOU will signify the start of a fruitful cooperation with KMC for broad spectrum of project market and that this first step will lead to wider cooperation.”

The right fit

The Korean company KMC Line was founded in 1989. The company is specialised in steel shipping, bulk carriers and heavy cargo shipping industries. The company operates mainly in Asia, Australia and Americas.

Roll Group was founded in 2006 and is a global heavy transportation company focused on land and sea transportation. In combination with its unique engineering capabilities the company can offer clients the complete factory to foundation service.
