“Every project or shipment comes with its own challenges and complexities, keeping you always on your toes,” says Bhavesh Goel, Assistant General Manager – Project Development at deugro. Being that his responsibilities include project management, tender and contract management and business development, he is kept on his toes a lot. 

Goel came into the industry in 2014, and since joining deugro he has been taken under the wing by the regional director, Sanal Nair, who, as Goel says has been his ‘all-in-one mentor, guide and friend’. “My path to where I am today has clearly been paved all along with his support and guidance,” Goel says.

He adds that every project requires evolution. “You need to evolve with every project and be at your innovative best to not only beat your competition, which is quite fierce in this industry but also tackle the challenges faced all along the way,” he said, adding that one needs to think of various ways to safely and timely deliver the cargo to its destination.

Through his years of working in the field, Goel has also seen the industry itself evolve. “I began working in this field in the year 2014, and I can clearly say that in these nine years, there has been a lot of evolution around. Reduction in paperwork and an increase in digital means, making the entire freight forwarding process a smoother one. Advancement in digital shipment tracking assists both us and the client in a more real-time scenario,” he adds.
