Mammoet expands in Germany with Meyer Anlagenbau acquisition

Mammoet has expanded its presence in south-west Germany by acquiring local heavy lift specialist Meyer Anlaganbau. According to the Dutch company, the purchase reinforces its position as the leader in the German market.

Meyer approached Mammoet with the opportunity to acquire the German company following a successful five-year working relationship. “With over 40 years’ experience in the south-west of Germany, Meyer brings a wealth of local market knowledge and additional heavy installation expertise”, Mammoet states.

According to managing director Jens Krawczynski of Mammoet Germany, Mammoet’s global reach combined with Meyer’s installation expertise and local presence has delivered highly effective synergies for installation projects across the region in the past. “This acquisition extends our strong working relationship,” he said.

Eberhard Jung, former Managing Director of Meyer, commented: “Having worked together successfully for over five years, we know that Mammoet is the right company to expand our business. Our two companies share a similar regional approach and culture.”

The companies did not disclose the price of the acquisition.
