DEME integrates offshore services

Belgian offshore group DEME has integrated its subsidiaries GeoSea, Tideway, A2Sea and EverSea into DEME Offshore to form a more ‘agile organisation’.

By integrating all of our offshore activities, expertise and capabilities into a more agile organisation, we will be able to fulfil the future requirements of our customers even more rigorously, the company notes.

The new business is divided in two segments: renewables and oil&gas.

For renewables customers, DEME Offshore will provide ‘flexible and tailored solutions, including foundation/turbine transport & installation, cable installation and operations & maintenance activities up to full Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contracts’, DEME reports.

For oil & gas and other offshore customers, DEME Offshore’s services include landfalls and offshore civil works, rock placement, heavy lift, subsea construction, umbilical laying and the installation and decommissioning of offshore platforms.

The newly formed company will be lead by Hugo Bouvy, who’s been appointed Managing Director of DEME Offshore.

‘We see the transformation of the energy market as a great opportunity’, says Luc Vandenbulcke, CEO  of DEME. ‘By joining forces and expertise, combined with our state-of-the-art fleet, we are confident that DEME Offshore will be in a unique position to help our customers achieve their aspirations in the offshore oil, gas and renewable energy sector.’
