Danish project logistics provider Martin Bencher has launched an engineering department called MB Engineering. “We want to serve our clients, not only with project forwarding but also by taking part in developing new methods to make partnership solutions even stronger”, the company states.

The Martin Bencher Group now provides engineering on three levels. The first is the design of stowage plans including lashing and lifting calculations and trailer configurations. The second is 3D CAD visualization of cargo handling and project-specific transport methods. Lastly, the forwarder now also offers engineering calculations and innovation for heavy and oversize components including grillage and vessel stability calculations.

In a letter to its customers, CCO Jeppe Frank says the process of developing MB Engineering has been one of the company’s cornerstones in 2020. “2020 has been a tough year for most of us – being grounded, no travelling, in some periods even no physical meetings in the office with clients or colleagues. But we still fight every day to become better, smarter, and to succeed beyond the expectations of our stakeholders”, Frank says.
