TGI handles project cargo moves for Saipem and Downer
Australian privately-owned freight forwarder TGI Cargo has lend a hand to the Italian engineering specialist Saipem, as well as its compatriot, Downer, in recent project cargo moves.
TGI worked with Saipem to demobilise the onsite assets in regional Queensland and ship them to Abu Dhabi. TGI Cargo managed the entire project from start to finish including vessel charter, transport, crane lifts and export protocols for local government authorities.
To ensure the project success, the TGI Cargo team was on-site at all times overseeing the load out operation, transitions and cargo safety.
The project comes only a week after the company assisted Downer to move an asphalt plant from China to Australia. The shipment included 6000 cubic metres of cargo and 41 containers.
