CJ-ICM transports heaviest overland cargo ever in Uzbekistan

The central Asian heavy transport engineering solutions provider, CJ-ICM, is currently transporting four absorbers, for ENTER Engineering. They have been shipped from China to Uzbekistan via Haydarpasa Port in Istanbul, Turkey.

The four absorbers, measuring 43 x 7 x 6,95 metres, weigh 606 US tons, or just under 550 metric tonnes each, amounting to 2200 tonnes in total. Each absorber breaks the record for heaviest overland cargo ever transported to Uzbekistan. The previous record was held by a 520-tonne Slurry Hopper transported in 2018.

CJ-ICM will be transporting the absorbers via land over a distance of approximately 2000 kilometres, over the course of which several obstacles will need to be removed. This operation, which will be performed solely with CJ-ICM-owned transport equipment and personnel, will be coordinated by CJ-ICM’s offices in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
