New shipping line connects Antwerp with Morocco

Operating under the name Camabe Line, Moroccan shipping agency Idea Maroc and Dutch shipping company Vertom Shipping & Trading have created a new conventional shortsea shipping line that will connect the port of Antwerp with the port of Casablanca and other Moroccan ports.

Camabe Line will operate a fleet of conventional vessels varying in size between 3,000 and 6,000 tons and provide regular sailings.

“These vessels are operational to load all types of goods: from wood, metallurgical products, project cargo – including heavy parcels and bulky packages – up to public works and railway equipment,
chemicals, fertilizers and other miscellaneous goods,” the partners say.

In addition, Idea Maroc and Vertom can also offer ships for (partly) homogeneous cargoes from Antwerp or any other European port of the North Sea, Channel or Atlantic to Moroccan ports.

The first sailing is planned in May.
