TechnipFMC and Jumbo Maritime, part of the Jumbo-SAL Alliance have recently completed a project cargo transshipment at the Dampier Cargo Wharf, on the western side of the Burrup Peninsula, Australia.

TechnipFMC has been contracted by Woodside in April last year for the development of the Lambert Deep and Phase 3 of the Greater Western Flank fields, located offshore Northwestern Australia. TechnipFMC has been contracted to design, manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment including subsea production system, flexible flowlines and umbilicals for connection to the Angel platform.

It is the second contract under a five-year iEPCI frame agreement between TechnipFMC and Woodside.

In the latest operation TechnipFMC’s construction vessel Deep Orient double-banked with Jumbo Jubilee at the Port of Dampier, to transfer reels for deep sea cables. Pilbara Ports Authority noted in its brief post through social media that berthing vessels side-by-side enables more efficient transfer of heavy or oversized cargo.

Jumbo Jubilee is one of Jumbo Maritime’s vessels of the J-class family, fitted with two 900-ton crane with a combined lift capacity of 1,800 tons.

Over the last couple of months Jumbo Maritime had four Jumbo vessels in and around Dampier, in the northwest of Western Australia. Fairlane, Fairpartner, Jumbo Vision, Jumbo Jubilee and their dedicated crews have been handling three transshipment projects for two different clients.
