Logistics services provider Van der Vlist recently transported a couple of tanks weighing 24,500 kilograms each from the North of Spain to Poland. The company deployed a gearless charter vessel for the job. 

The company delivered a complete door-to-door service, ncluding all steps in between with multi-modal transport and transshipments of the tanks nearly 6 metres in diameter.

Following the arrival at the seaport in Poland, the cargo was taken by barge to a barge port in Poland. Transshipment was completed by two mobile cranes in tandem, under the supervision of Van der Vlist’s own surveyor. From there, the tanks were transported to their final destination by road during the night.

Van der Vlist specialist supervised the whole door-to-door service with one single contact person for the client.
