The general cargo vessel Lady Monique was christened by Mrs Eikens in Delfzijl on the 28th of January 2023. She is the fourth and last vessel of this series of dry bulk cargo vessels running on liquified natural gas (LNG) and on traditional marine gas oil.

The Lady Monique was built in Wuhu Shipyard, China, in 2022, and sails under the Dutch flag, with Delfzijl as her home port. The vessel measures 115 metres by 16.61 metres and has a gross tonnage of 4,892 metric tonnes. The vessel also has a 1 A Swedish / Finnish ice class. She is the last of a series of four new dual-fueled vessels, designed to meet all current environmental requirements. It will be used to ship cargo for the Finnish company, UPM Biofore.

The Lady Monique was launched at the yard in China on the 18th of June 2022 and permanently left the shipyard on the 22 September 2022. The vessel then bunkered at Wuhu LNG, a brand-new LNG ship-bunkering facility. The Lady Monique is the eighth LNG-fueled vessel to leave the yard and the first vessel leaving Wuhu Shipyard to bunker in Wuhu itself. The vessel then sailed to the Chinese sea for her sea trials.
