Trans Global Project (TGP) has been contracted to deliver project logistics services for a clinker plant being developed in the Dominican Republic. The company will deliver breakbulk cargo from European ports to the project site.

China Sinoma International Engineering (Sinoma) has received an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project for a new 3,500 tonne per day clinker plant in the Dominican Republic. TGP will facilitate the logistics, handling shipments between Europe and the Domicem Palenque plant.

According to Trans Global Project, this is the largest investment project in the Dominican Republic in the last decade, being also the biggest industrial development ever constructed in the country. The scope of the project includes the construction of a production line, including raw material feeding to the clinker warehouse as well as the cement mill workshop.

The first breakbulk cargo shipped by TGP arrived aboard a container vessel. TGP is assisted by the Group’s Swiss subsidiary, Natco AG, and the project is being managed by TGP China. The same project entails future shipments from both India and the United States.
