Trans Global Projects (TGP) offices in the Netherlands and Brisbane have been kept busy by heavy machinery over the recent period. The office in the Netherlands had to move a cutter suction dredger from Europe to the United States, while the Brisbane office handled the delivery of mining equipment from Australia to Fiji.

TGP Netherlands called on its colleagues from the Houston and Bremen offices to complete the delivery of a modular, fully electric cutter suction dredger.

This delivery is the first of two shipments from Germany to a site in Texas, about 600 miles from Houston. Each dredger comprises roughly 2,000 Freight Tonnes, broken down into 14 modules. Loading of the equipment was completed in the Port of Antwerp.

With the first dredger successfully delivered, work is underway for the shipment of the second, again from Europe to the United States.

In Australia, the Brisbane office was managing the export of some over-dimensional mining equipment from Australia to Fiji. The size of the cargo posed a significant challenge, together with the limited shipping options to the islands and the lack of 40′ flat racks in the market. The team managed to overcome the challenges and deliver the cargo from the port of Brisbane to Lautoka, Fiji.

The cargo, weighing 40.9 tons required careful loading onto the flat rack using a crane, followed by secure lashing to ensure marine transport safety.
