DAKO starts shipping blades for two wind projects in Texas

DAKO Worldwide Transport is getting a fair share of requests from the wind energy sector which is growing at a significant speed. A record 116,065 Megawatts of new wind turbine capacity was added worldwide in 2023, the fastest growth rate in two decades. 

As this transition towards renewable energy gathers pace, there is an increased need for experienced and flexible logistics partners. DAKO Worldwide Transport, a project focussed, international freight forwarder with headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany, is getting more and more inquiries from the sector.

Over the Easter holidays, the DAKO Worldwide wind team loaded 15 sets of 65-metre-long wind blades in Tianjin-Xingang, China. This was the first of four lots consisting of 165 wind blades that DAKO will be shipping in the upcoming months for two projects located in Texas, US.

In the US, DAKO will also transport a large quantity of these 165 blades to one of the project sites. With this significant project, DAKO has demonstrated its capabilities as a trusted logistics provider for the booming wind energy sector.
