Geodis has appointed Peter Anetsberger as the new Industrial Projects Director for Geodis Freight Forwarding in Germany. Anetsberger already assumed the new position from July 1, 2019. 

Peter Anetsberger has more than 35 years of work experience gained in various executive positions in Germany, Turkey, and the Middle East. He began his career at Geodis in 2007 in Freight Forwarding Air / Ocean & Overland Determent, where he was responsible for the development and management of large-scale projects. In 2018, he took the role of Director of Business Development Europe in the Capital & Industrial Projects division.

Geodis sees its Industrial Projects Division as a business unit with “significant growth potential”, the company states. Anetsberger will be reporting to Antje Lochmann, the managing director of the Freight Forwarding division of Geodis Germany.

“Peter is one of our most experienced specialists. With his great commitment, he will further develop the German team in order to make a significant contribution to the further success of the company. As a key element in the product portfolio of Geodis in Germany, Industrial Projects is in the strategic focus of the company,” Lochmann said.

In France, the company heads the national business ranking, while it holds a 4th and 7th position in the European and global business ranking, respectively. In 2018, the company accounted for over 41,000 employees and generated EUR 8.2 billion in sales.
