PRESS RELEASE – Zeamarine has appointed Namir Khanbabi as the new Regional Director for Asia and Oceania. He most recently held the role of Chartering and Operations Director at AAL, where he was, in charge of the global chartering, operations and the engineering for Tramp and Liner services.

In his role, Namir will be in charge to lead the Asia & Oceania business units, identify new market opportunities and define the actions required to continue our success story in the Asia and Oceania area.

He joins a well-established team in our Regional HQ in Kuala Lumpur and will be supported by the promotion of Alexander Furst to Head of Chartering Asia and Oceania.

Announcing the appointment, which commences immediately, COO Nicki Schumacher states: “Namir brings over 25 years of experience and knowledge in the shipping, heavy-lift and Asian markets. He has a strong track record in team building, growing business and excellent customer service which will benefit our customers and the Zeamarine team. His appointment together with Alex’s promotion is a testament to our ambition in the region.”
