Porto ship loads up at Shepherds Offshore Technology Park

The JSP Porto general cargo ship, chartered by GAC Services, a United Kingdom-based, integrated shipping and logistics services company, called at Shepherds Offshore Group’s Offshore Technology Park (OTP) last week.

Shepherd Offshore’s Offshore Technology Park (OTP) is a unique offshore supply base, marine cargo handling terminal, and manufacturing cluster. It is located in Northern England, specifically in Newcastle upon Tyne, on the River Tyne.

Built in 2011, the Porto measures 130.16 metres in length and 16.5 metres in width. Flying under the Portuguese flag, it also has a gross tonnage of 7138 tonnes. The ship was loaded with 6 Baker Hughes reels and 45 containers. The maximum reel weight lifted was over 300T. The equipment was safely loaded and sea fastened, and the vessel has now left OTP.
