Fracht FWO Polska delivered HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) modules for the Czechnica project.

The gas and steam combined heat and power plant will be located in Siechnica, southeast of Wroclaw. The project is being conducted by the Zespół Elektrociepłowni Wrocławskich Kogeneracja, as well as the Polish Government, to improve the security of energy supply in the area. The project includes a gas-steam unit that will permit the production of gross power ranging from 155 to 180 MWe of electric power and around 160 MWt of heat power. The planned completion date for the Czechnica project is 30 April 2024.

Fracht FWO Polska has already handled several deliveries for the Czechnica project, including in December 2022. The HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) modules transported by Fracht FWO Polska were manufactured in China, and arrived via ship in Gdańsk, Poland, on January 22nd, aboard a vessel chartered by Fracht FWO Polska’s sea forwarding team. They also handled loading and unloading in Gdańsk, as well as delivery to the project site.

The cargo was shipped from China to Poland aboard the vessel Fuji Bay, which departed Gdańsk on 26 January 2022. Built in 1990, the vessel has a gross tonnage of 9070 tonnes, a length of 148 metres and a width of 21 metres. It sails under the flag of Liberia.
