Jumbo Maritime has jumped onboard the recently launched MPP (multipurpose vessel) platform launched by Esgian. Dutch company has become the pilot client, and will also be the first company to dive into the Esgian Offshore Wind Suite, enabling clients to understand the dynamics of the complex offshore wind industry.

To remind, Esgian has recently partnered with the Hamburg-based shipbroker Toepfer Transport to provide insights for the upcoming multipurpose (MPP) and general cargo segment. The MPP module seeks to increase commercial and sustainability transparency in the sector providing all stakeholders with unique insight.

The company noted in its statement that so far it has identified some 1,400+ vessels across 60 shipping lines covering over 3,000 individual ports globally.

“The Commercial Analytics product provides valuable insights into operators’ commercial activities and performance levels, which we believe will be applicable in various areas to support our strategic decision-making and understanding of market dynamics,” says Jumbo Maritime.

Additionally, Jumbo Maritime will be utilising Esgian’s upcoming Emission Analytics for the MPP segment. This tool is set to be released in October 2023 and will enable benchmarking, analysis, and transparency across the MPP fleet.

Esgian is already in close dialogue with Smart Freight Centre with the aim to have this accredited within this year – following in the footsteps of its RoRo product.
