PRESS RELEASE – Osprey has purchased two new flat-top barges to support specialist logistics operations in France, Morocco and the Eastern Mediterranean. The new barges are expected to join the fleet in the first quarter of next year.

The Osprey Bouwer and Osprey Fabrique, as the new barges will be called, will measure 50 metres in length and 18.8 metres in width. The flush deck will be able to carry 20 tonnes per square meters and the barges will be equipped with two 23-metre long spud poles. The total investment amounts to 3 million pounds.

According to Osprey, they will be ideal for load-outs, interconnection projects, demobs, and all kinds of barge commissions.

“The addition of Osprey Bouwer and Osprey Fabrique to our fleet is very welcome. At a time when we’re all focusing on safety in the present, these additions represent 3 million pounds of investment in the future – demonstrating our long-term commitment for supporting our clients”, says Neil Schofield, Osprey’s COO.
