Dongbang and Cosco form heavy-lift partnership

Dongbang Transport & Logistics and Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers have formed a heavy-lift partnership to jointly bid on large-scale projects. The agreement will be valid until December 31, 2022.

Under the agreement, the companies will work together as preferred partners on large-scale projects that neither company can perform on their own, local media report.

The partnership builds on a collaboration for Chevron’s Tengiz oil field development in Kazakhstan, where the companies have been working together to transport a number of large offshore modules.

South Korea-headquartered Dongbang provides stevedoring services for large and heavy cargoes and operates a fleet of cranes, SPMT and self-propelled barges.

Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers is one of the largest multipurpose shipping companies in the world with a vast fleet of heavy-lift and heavy transport vessels.
