Jumbo-SAL-Alliance was recently booked to transport a 417-ton Siwertell shipunloader from Taicang, China to Ashdod, Israel.

The shipunloader was transported on the heavy lift vessel Paula, (type 161 A).

As for the unloader, it will be used to handle sulphur and petcoke at Ashdod Port with an unloading rate of 600 tons per hour. Material will be loaded to trucks and ships. The shipunloader has the capacity to unload up to 63,000 dwt.

Bruks Siwertell has signed a contract with Ashdod Port Company in August 2019 for the delivery of a Siwertell ST 490-M screw-type ship unloader destined to serve Israel’s largest sea port.

Built by Pella Sietas Werft in 2000, HLV Paula is a 9 544 dwt vessel with a 550 ton maximum lift capacity and a 2,120 square meters deck space. The vessel has an overall length of 151.65 metres and a width of 20.65 metres.

It was another one of the project completed by the Jumbo-SAL-Alliance. Recently the partnership transported three fully erected single boom shipyard cranes, from China to Italy.

Also, the partnership has further strengthened its partnership in China by moving their teams under a single roof in the common office located in the Pudong district in Shanghai.
