The Hamburg-based logistics company, F. H. Bertling, shipped a 750-tonne tunnel boring machine from China to Germany.

F. H. Bertling shipped the cargo from Zhangjiagang, in Jiangsu province, China. This port is located on the Yangtze River, just upstream of Shanghai. It was sent to the Dradenau Port Terminal, operated by Rhenus Logistics, in Hamburg, Germany. This multipurpose terminal handles project loads, heavy goods, breakbulk, containers, and roro.

Upon arrival at Dradenau Port Terminal, Bertling arranged for the indirect & direct handling of the trailer loading and onward transport to the final storage area in Hamburg. The machine will be used to drill a tunnel under the Elbe River, for district heating in the city of Hamburg.
