Herfurth consolidates project logistics in M-Star Projects

Herfurth Logistics is consolidating and rebranding its project cargo logistics. Going forward, all breakbulk, ro-ro cargo and large and heavy loads of both Herfurth Logistics and M-Star Freight Services will be handled by the new company M-Star Projects.

Herfurth Logistics, which has its headquarters in Antwerp, bought Rotterdam-based M-Star Freight Services in 2017, gaining 20 years of project cargo experience and 22 employees.

Within M-Star Projects, that project cargo knowledge is now combined with Herfurth’s own experience to create a dedicated project logistics company with over four decades of experience. “With M-Star Projects we are rebranding all our project logistics”, managing director Olivier D’hoop tells Belgian port newspaper Flows.

Herfurth Logistics and M-Star Freight Services will focus on all other logistics and both brands will be maintained. To emphasize Herfurth’s involvement in M-Star Projects, however, the newly formed company has the baseline “Powered by Herfurth Logistics”.

“With that baseline, we want to communicate that M-Star Projects is backed with a large network of offices in Istanbul, Izmir, Le Havre, Amsterdam and Zeebrugge, where we specialize in helicopter logistics. We are also a member of several specialized networks. We don’t have assets, this is a people business.”
